Myke Ricca, Research & Development

Myke is a Central Jersey resident (yes, it’s real), so of course it made sense for him to join the Philadelphia Ghostbusters. I guess that’s what happens when Greg forgets to check our emails for years on end, but through a coalition between the Philly Ghostbusters, the Delco Ghostbusters, Diamond State Ghostbusters, and us here at GBNJ, we get to share Myke.

In the automotive world there are two types of mechanics. ASE Certified mechanics that go through years of rigorous training and testing and can fix a car safely back to factory spec, then there are the backyard mechanics. These guys have no formal training, but love to tinker and have a mechanically inclined mind and can fix almost anything, safety be damned. Myke is the later, he considers himself a shade tree particle physicist. He built his first functional nuclear reactor for his 8th grade science fair, based on schematics found in the 1984 OMNI magazine article on the Ghostbusters equipment.

Myke’s dream project is to convert his Tesla to run off the psychokinetic energy of ghosts…talk about green energy!

Personal Quote:

“I got a Tesla before…well you know.”
